POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary duty of the Director of Post-Graduate Affairs is tolead the department of Post-Graduate Affairs as we develop new post-graduateresidency and fellowship programs and support the programs of our partnerinstitutions. The Director of Post-Graduate Affairs will also facilitateadvising efforts for medical students of the COM and develop and lead thecontinuing medical education accreditation and programming provided by the COMto our partner institutions.  The qualifiedapplicant must possess excellent leadership, communication, organization,multitasking, customer service, flexibility, and teamwork skills, and be ableto work in a fast-paced environment.
DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborates with the Assistant Deanfor Post-Graduate Affairs to develop new residency and fellowship trainingprograms supporting the application, fundraising, grant-writing, and otherdevelopmental tasks essential to launching new training programs.
Collaborates with the Assistant Deanfor Post-Graduate Affairs to support residency and fellowship programs atclinical partner institutions with accreditation, faculty development,simulation, clinical education, and other needs.
Supports medical student clinicalcareer counseling program and resource development to include data tracking,resource material development, and being available to assist students andfaculty advisors.
Leads the accreditation efforts with ACCME andthe AOA to become and maintain status as an accredited sponsor of continuousmedical education programming leading the development and rollout of thiscontent along with the Assistant Dean for Post-Graduate Affairs.
Provides support and cross departmentalcollaboration with the Department of Clinical Affairs to support our clinicalteaching campuses to include assistance with events, ceremonies, and otherduties as assigned and necessary.
Serves on College and University Committees asassigned by the Dean and participates in medical student interviews and otherduties as a leader of the COM to include supervision of the departmentalcoordinator.
This position requires some daytime travel aswell as some night and weekend work throughout the year.
Completes other duties as assigned.
