Job description

We are seeking a hands-on and adaptable Restaurant Technology Administrator to be the in-store technology expert for Pei Wei, Pei Wei Express, Pick Up Stix, and Leeann Chin brands.
This role requires deep knowledge of NCR Aloha POS, restaurant operations technology, internet circuits, Cisco Meraki, Cradle point cellular backup, and vendor management.
In a small IT team environment, you will balance urgent support requests with new store openings, vendor integrations, and platform rollouts.
The successful candidate will be resourceful, able to wear multiple hats, and thrive in a fast-paced, last-minute environment without reliance on heavy process or project management frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as administrator for NCR Aloha POS, including system configurations, hierarchies, and 3rd party integrations.
* Manage and support restaurant internet circuits, Meraki firewalls, and Cradlepoint failover solutions, ensuring high availability for critical business systems.
* Deploy configuration changes and software updates quickly and accurately while minimizing restaurant disruption.
* Act as the primary troubleshooter for operators, resolving urgent technology issues across POS, network, and digital platforms.
* Support and maintain POS databases, digital ordering, and loyalty systems.
* Lead the technical side of new restaurant openings, ensuring readiness of all technology systems, internet connectivity, and redundancy.
* Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to prioritize urgent fixes and enhancements.
* Perform QA, pilot testing, and support for new technologies.
* Document support requests and resolutions for improved knowledge sharing.
* Recommend lightweight process improvements to enhance stability and efficiency.
* Multi-task effectively in a high-change, fast-moving environment.

Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
* 5+ years of experience with restaurant technologies.
* 3+ years of in-depth NCR Aloha POS experience (CFC, KDS, online ordering OLO & AOO, loyalty Punchh & Clutch ).
* Proven hands-on experience managing restaurant internet circuits, Meraki networks, and Cradle point cellular backup.
* 4+ years of POS administration/support experience in restaurants.
* Knowledge of restaurant systems (sales, labor, cash, inventory, imports/exports).
* Experience in small, lean IT teams managing multiple priorities.
* Ability to execute deployments and upgrades without formal project/change frameworks.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions
* Fast-paced environment with frequent urgent requests.
* On-call responsibilities; nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
* Some travel to restaurant sites.
* Comfortable supporting a 24/7 restaurant business.
