The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As a Portfolio Operations Division Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
  • Leading a portfolio operations team supporting the Industrial Adhesive and Tapes Division with their phase-in/phase-out material requests, new material create and extensions, and maintaining master data quality through data governance
  • Consulting with division and cross-functional teams to establish global portfolio change initiative priorities and assigning resources as needed
  • Leading multiple cross functional projects while managing, training, and developing a team of direct reports.
  • Engaging with division and corporate teams to drive process and tool changes to improve customer experience and internal productivity/efficiencies.
  • Majority of complex portfolio change projects require hypothetical thinking to determine best solutions, in-depth interpretation, and analysis for significantly different situations.
  • Providing direct task-level guidance to team members as necessary as well as overall project guidance to multiple teams to maintain focus on common objectives.

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Seven (7) years of marketing or business operations experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
  • Master of Business Administration degree from an accredited institution
  • Five (5) or more years of experience leading teams in ERP deployments or Master Data applications in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Experience in leading and influencing cross-functional projects and teams
  • Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to learn quickly and deliver results in a high-pressure, high-profile environment
  • Experience in managing others

Work location:
  • This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.

Travel: May include up to 10%[domestic/international]
Relocation: Maybe authorized
