In this role, you'll work hands-on with large participant datasets, interpret group annuity contract provisions, and perform benefit calculations. You'll support both the installation and ongoing administration of group annuity contracts, partnering closely with actuaries, technology teams, and service professionals to ensure accuracy, consistency, and a high-quality client and participant experience.
What You'll Do:
  • Analyze, reconcile, and validate large participant datasets to ensure alignment across actuarial, pricing, policy, and administrative systems.
  • Perform complex benefit calculations, including lump sums, QDRO splits, benefit illustrations, and census-based premium adjustments.
  • Interpret group annuity contract provisions and apply them accurately to benefit calculations and system configurations.
  • Support the installation and conversion of group annuity contracts, including participant data setup and coordination with actuaries, IT, and operations partners.
  • Participate in client and internal working sessions to track progress, identify data or calculation issues, and support timely resolution.
  • Support service teams by addressing technical questions related to participant inquiries, claims, and death processing.
  • Contribute to process improvements, system testing, and continuous enhancement initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability, and accuracy across PRT installations and ongoing support.
  • Take ownership of defined workstreams or components of larger projects, with guidance and review from more senior team members.

What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree required; strong analytical and quantitative aptitude.
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, actuarial support, financial operations, or a related analytical role - or a strong quantitative background with demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Excel and data reconciliation; familiarity with SQL, Python, or other data tools is a plus.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to a variety of audiences.
  • Interest in learning and applying the provisions of group annuity contracts and performing related mathematical calculations.
  • Experience with defined benefit pension plans is a plus, but not required.
  • A positive attitude, strong accountability, and sound judgment.
  • Ability to work independently while remaining flexible and collaborative within a team environment.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, cross-functional setting, partnering with experienced professionals across actuarial, technology, and service teams.
