The Team

The Behavior Portfolio Associate is responsible for creating and developing behavior-based courses, specifically in communications, inclusive diversity, and performance management. This role works closely with Learning Partners, subject matter experts (SMEs), and delivery teams to ensure that training programs are aligned with the organization's goals and needs. The position requires a strong knowledge of instructional design, content & project management, and learning operations. The ideal candidate will have experience managing behavior-based learning initiatives within a professional services environment.

How you will contribute

Learning & Development Operations:

ยท Team Collaboration: Partner with internal teams, including Learning Partners, subject matter experts (SMEs), and delivery teams to ensure the effective design, development, and evaluation of behavior-focused training programs.

ยท Training Needs Identification: Collaborate with Learning Partners and team to support identification and prioritization of behavior-based training needs across the organization, particularly addressing business and performance challenges.

ยท Best Practices Guidance: Apply best practices and support the identification of effective blended learning approaches to address identified behavior-related performance challenges, ensuring the solutions align with business objectives.

ยท Design Proposals: Assist in developing design proposals, proof-of-concept prototypes, and Statements of Work (SOW) in partnership with business stakeholders, incorporating feedback from intended course users to align with the organizationโ€™s behavior-focused learning needs.

ยท Operational Support: Assist in refining and managing the processes, methodologies, and tools for creating, organizing, delivering, and evaluating behavior-focused learning content, ensuring it aligns with business goals and objectives.

ยท Course Catalog Assistance: Support the ongoing maintenance and updating of the behavior-focused course catalog to reflect current offerings and ensure alignment with evolving business needs and priorities.

Course Design & Development:

ยท Content Development and Evaluation: Design and develop behavior-focused learning content, ensuring alignment with defined learning objectives. Evaluate the effectiveness of each program, attending courses as needed, and use insights to recommend areas for improvement.

ยท Existing Solutions Review: Support the assessment and revision of existing behavior-focused learning solutions to enhance impact.

ยท Asset Development/Curation: Contribute to the creation and curation of various learning assets (e.g., digital media, print materials, graphics) using resources from internal teams and external vendors such as graphic designers and media specialists.

ยท Design Process Adherence: Ensure adherence to design principles and project timelines, delivering learning initiatives on time and in line with project specifications and plans.

ยท SME Collaboration: Work directly with SMEs to develop and review content, ensuring accuracy and relevance to behavior-focused objectives.

ยท Instructional Design: Apply instructional design principles to create engaging, effective learning experiences, utilizing multimedia resources where appropriate to enhance learner engagement and knowledge retention.

ยท Vendor & Tool Management: Coordinate with content vendors and leverage development tools (e.g., Articulate, video editing software) to produce high quality learning materials.โ€ฏ

Course Preparation & Execution:โ€ฏ

ยท Delivery Coordination:โ€ฏWork with the delivery team to kick off new courses, ensuring readiness and alignment with portfolio objectives.โ€ฏ

ยท Training Support:โ€ฏProvide on-site or remote support during course conducts, as needed, to ensure a seamless training experience and to evaluate course effectiveness.โ€ฏ

Qualifications

ยท Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in education, human resources, instructional design, business administration, or a related field.

ยท Experience: 2-4 years in learning and development, with a focus on managing behavior-focused learning programs in communications, inclusive diversity, and performance management, ideally within a professional services environment.

ยท Instructional Design Knowledge: Understanding of instructional design principles, with some experience supporting the development and implementation of behavior-based learning programs.

ยท Project & Content Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Experience managing content libraries and ensuring effective version control, accessibility, and integration of behavior-focused learning materials.

ยท Analytical Skills: Strong ability to evaluate learning effectiveness through data analysis and apply insights to drive improvements in behavior-based learning programs.

ยท Communication & Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication skills, with experience collaborating across teams, managing vendor relationships, and engaging with stakeholders at various levels within the organization.

ยท Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to independently manage multiple learning projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

ยท Client-Facing Skills: Skilled in supporting senior leaders and teams through a client-facing approach and mindset.
