Description:

The temporary, seasonal Production Associate is responsible for executing a variety of tasks surrounding popcorn production in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This position is responsible for the production and supporting tasks of the kitchen and packaging through the completion of daily and weekly production goals. The Production Associate will be assigned to various roles within the Production Department as needs arise. Responsibilities may include operation of industrial kitchen equipment, packaging equipment, dish cleaning, and general custodial duties, while working closely with other team members. It is important that the Production Associate enjoys and is comfortable working as part of a team, has acute attention to detail, and works well with similar daily routines.


Start August 3rd-mid Oct- All Seasonal Temp $20/hr

Production Associate FT M-Thurs 7-5:30

Production Associate PT M-Friday 7-3:30pm

Production Associate PT 2 days a week 9-5:30pm

Chocolate Associate - 2 Positions if FT M-Friday 9-5pm and or 4 positions if PT 9am-1pm (2) and 1-5pm (2)


Responsibilities

  • Safely operating equipment according to manufacturerโ€™s instruction to produce popcorn products
  • Maintaining company Food Safety and Quality standards
  • Ensuring production goals are met each day in an efficient and timely manner
  • Reporting any and all safety and/or quality concerns to management
  • Adhering to daily schedule and informing the Manager of any challenges or roadblocks that impeded workflow or required a shift in tasks
  • Lifting, standing for long periods, and repetitive hand intensive tasks required
  • Follow recipes to make popcorn to company specifications while following food safety guidelines
  • Operate one or more sets of equipment including, but not limited to, popcorn poppers, caramel popcorn kettles, and popcorn tumblers while following appropriate safety measures and food safety guidelines
  • Multitask while working as a team, assist other production cooks with prep work, and operate one or more machines to maintain efficiency
  • Transfer finished product to appropriate area for packaging
  • Ensure that product being made and handled meets standards of quality and communicate with direct supervisor of any quality issues
  • Assist in the setup, breakdown, and cleaning of the station including thorough cleaning and special projects as needed while following food safety guidelines
  • Complete all required documentation for tracking accomplishments, waste, quality assurance, sanitation and all other checklists as assigned
  • Observe equipment operation and notify direct supervisor of any malfunctions and/or safety concerns and/or issues
  • May be required to rotate to various departments in the production facility as needed;
  • Communicating with the Manager regarding any issues, material needs, or questions regarding training or work assignments
  • Attend all safety, production and regular team meetings
  • Professional & effective communication with all team members
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

  • Extensive physical exertions which includes but are not limited to:
