Lush Popcorn in Milwaukee, WI is looking for one Gourmet Popcorn Associate I to join our 7 person strong team. We are located on 920 E Locust St. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and engaged.

Job Description

At Lush Popcorn, we pride ourselves on producing the highest quality gourmet popcorn. We are professional, efficient, and courteous Gourmet Popcorn Associates who focus on food quality and customer satisfaction.

The Gourmet Popcorn Associate will execute recipes to make popcorn from scratch, and process orders for customers. You will also greet customers, answer questions, accept payments, clean workstations and equipment, and perform other duties to ensure that customer needs are satisfied and the shop is well-stocked and operating smoothly.

In order to be successful at Lush Popcorn, you should be organized, have a strong work ethic and high level of accuracy. You should also be responsible, attentive to customer needs, and committed to providing excellent service.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers, answer questions, make recommendations, fill orders, accept payments, and provide exceptional customer service; accurately and on time
  • Operate computer, scales, cash registers, gourmet popcorn equipment and other electronic devices
  • Balance the cash register to ensure sales reconcile
  • Process refunds, exchanges, coupons or gift cards
  • Bag, label and display finished products for shipment or sale
  • Follow all store policies & procedures
  • Ensure that store is always clean, sanitized, presentable to customers and fully stocked
  • Ensure that each item meets food safety and quality controls
  • Keep records relating to customer info, deliveries, inventory, and production of products
  • Process, package and ship online and wholesale orders with efficiency & accuracy

Requirements:

  • Must be able to effectively read and follow recipes
  • Basic math skills and ability to make correct change and balance register
  • Knowledge of the functions of POS/Cash register and computer skills
  • Customer service or Cashier experience.
  • Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy items, and work in a hot & fast-paced environment for extended periods
  • Self-starter, fast-leaner and ability to work independently or with other team members to solve problems, plan schedules, fulfill orders, and create amazing popcorn
  • Flexibility to work around customer demands, including early morning, night, weekend and holiday availability
