Job Overview
We are seeking a CDL Driver with Hazmat Endorsement to operate company vehicles, including dump trucks and polyester concrete mixers, and safely transport polyester concrete to various construction sites. This role is essential to maintaining the quality, efficiency, and safety of our projects.
Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate company CDL vehicles, including tri-axle dump trucks and polyester concrete mixers, following all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies.
  • Coordinate with batch plant personnel to load polyester resin, aggregates, and other materials, ensuring accurate measurement, proper mixing, and consistent concrete quality.
  • Transport and deliver polyester concrete to construction sites efficiently, adhering to designated routes and considering traffic, road restrictions, and site-specific requirements.
  • Monitor the quality of concrete during mixing, transport, and pouring; perform visual inspections and report any issues to supervisors or quality control personnel.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on mixer trucks and equipment, including inspecting mixer blades, cleaning residual materials, checking fluid levels, and reporting mechanical issues promptly.
  • Follow all safety protocols while handling polyester resin, chemicals, and equipment; wear required PPE and adhere to OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards.
  • Assist on construction sites as needed, including pouring concrete, directing placement, and cleaning up materials and equipment.
  • Ensure vehicles, tools, and machinery are stored safely and job sites are maintained free of unused or waste materials.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and batch plant personnel to ensure smooth operations and adherence to schedules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Experience & Skills
  • Prior experience operating CDL vehicles - required.
  • Mechanical aptitude - required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Schedule
  • Availability for varied shifts (days, nights, weekends) required.
  • Willingness to travel for extended periods.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid CDL Class A license - required.
  • Hazmat Endorsement - required.
  • Up-to-date DOT medical card - required.
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, and MVR.
  • Must be a union member or willing to join a union.
