To thrive as a Polish Localization Specialist, you need fluency in both Polish and English, strong linguistic skills, and a background in translation or localization, often supported by a relevant degree. Familiarity with computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools, terminology management systems, and quality assurance software is typically required. Attention to detail, cultural sensitivity, and effective communication are vital soft skills for ensuring translations are accurate and culturally appropriate. These skills are crucial for delivering high-quality, localized content that resonates with Polish audiences and maintains brand integrity.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals in Polish localization roles and how can they be addressed?

Polish localization specialists often encounter challenges such as maintaining consistency in terminology, adapting content to cultural nuances, and meeting tight project deadlines. Working closely with native Polish speakers and using localization tools like translation memory software can help ensure accuracy and consistency. Collaboration with project managers, developers, and other linguists is crucial to resolve ambiguities and deliver high-quality localized content. Regular training and staying updated on language trends also contribute to overcoming these challenges.

Polish localization is the process of adapting content, software, websites, or products to meet the linguistic, cultural, and technical requirements of Polish-speaking audiences. Job description

At Roblox, we're building the next generation of human connection and play through immersive 3D worlds where millions of players, creators, and brands come together every day. As a Sr. Product Designer on the consumer platform team, you will play a crucial role in driving that ambition: defining the universal UX language for our user-facing products that powers every experience on the platform.

You'll shape UX strategy across some of our highest-impact consumer product surfaces while simultaneously defining the reusable platform patterns that product teams across Roblox build on. This is a role for a designer who is energized by ambiguity, is confident in their decisions, and takes genuine ownership of their work.

You'll collaborate closely with product, engineering, and design systems partners, and engage directly with senior stakeholders to align design vision with long-term company goals to improve our players', creators' and brands' experiences. You will execute design at the product level, improving product flows, features, and frameworks, and work with horizontal teams that build the design architecture of Roblox, making a real impact in shaping the future of our platform as we scale to 1 billion users. The ideal candidate brings strong craft, clear thinking, and the confidence to advocate for great user experiences across complex, cross-functional work.

You will:

  • Define and drive UX strategy across key consumer surfaces, including desktop, console, VR, and emerging modalities, contributing to both near-term execution and long-term platform vision
  • Identify, design, and champion reusable UI/UX platform components, patterns, and flows in partnership with the Foundation UI (design systems) team, raising the quality bar and driving consistency across Roblox's consumer surfaces
  • Collaborate with product, research, and engineering partners to move mission critical work from concept to execution, with a high standard for craft at every stage
  • Improve core user journeys in the platform that maximize play, co-experience and connection for our core game loops by defining, developing, prototyping, and documenting design requirements
  • Contribute to the broader design org as a platform thinker, modeling innovation and rigorous systems thinking, elevating the work of teams around you

You have:

  • 5+ years experience in product design, product strategy, or a related field.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates innovation, systems thinking, coherent frameworks, and design decisions that scale and drive multi-surface design system adoption
  • Experience collaborating with and influencing a variety of cross-functional peers and stakeholders (e.g., product managers, data scientists, product designers, researchers, engineers, policy, and localization)
  • Fluency in design tools like Figma, and comfort leveraging modern AI-assisted design workflows to accelerate exploration, iteration, and execution quality.
  • Strong fundamentals across UX design, visual design, information architecture, and user-centered flows with the ability to execute high craft, polish, and consistency.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills with the ability to clearly present your work to senior stakeholders and influence cross-functional partners.
  • Experience designing across multiple platforms, with an understanding of how UX adapts across contexts
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Bonus: experience designing for diverse user groups such as kids, parents, creators, advertisers, or brands
