Position Summary

The Concessions Supervisor is a hands-on leader responsible for ensuring concession stands are properly staffed, stocked, opened, operated, and closed. This role works closely with management, culinary, and warehouse teams to address operational needs and maintain a positive guest and employee experience.

This role pays an hourly rate of $22.00-$24.00

About the Venue

Polar Park is a modern baseball stadium located in Worcester, Massachusetts, and home to the Worcester Red Sox, the Triple-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. The venue hosts professional baseball games, community events, private functions, and special entertainment throughout the year. Known for its energetic atmosphere and strong connection to the Worcester community, Polar Park provides a fast-paced and exciting environment for both guests and employees.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise cashiers, cooks, bartenders, stand leads, and other concession employees.
  • Confirm staff assignments, attendance, uniforms, and readiness for service.
  • Communicate event details, promotions, menu updates, and expectations during pre-shift meetings.
  • Monitor concession locations and adjust staffing based on business needs.
  • Ensure stands are clean, stocked, organized, and ready to open.
  • Support employees during high-volume service periods.
  • Monitor food quality, portioning, product availability, and service speed.
  • Respond to guest questions, complaints, and service concerns.
  • Enforce cash handling and point-of-sale procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service requirements.
  • Monitor inventory, product waste, and restocking needs.
  • Report employee concerns, safety hazards, equipment issues, and incidents to management.
  • Oversee closing procedures and complete required checklists and reports.
Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of previous food service, concessions, hospitality, or retail experience.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lead a diverse team.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and events.
  • Ability to obtain required food safety or alcohol service certifications.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
