ABOUT THE ROLE
Red Seat Ventures is looking for a Manager, Podcast Marketing to lead cross-promotional campaigns across our portfolio of nearly 70 podcasts while building relationships with external shows, creators, and platforms. Reporting to the Senior Director, Podcast Marketing, you will own campaigns from initial planning and creative development through ad operations, measurement, and reporting. You will translate campaign performance into clear insights that help senior leaders understand what worked and what we should do next.
This position sits within a growing Audience Development function with established systems and active campaigns already in place. The work is currently hands-on and high-volume as we continue to improve and automate our processes. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys owning complex systems, maintaining operational precision, and turning campaign data into a compelling and actionable story.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Book and manage in-network and out-of-network cross-promotional campaigns, including launches for new shows and always-on promotional rotations
  • Own campaign execution details, including flight dates, frequency caps, audience targeting, creative trafficking, and delivery
  • Build and deliver weekly and monthly reports on net-new listeners, conversion, and retention for senior leadership
  • Develop clear performance narratives and recommendations based on campaign data
  • Maintain consistent campaign naming conventions across booking, hosting, and measurement platforms so promotional activity can be accurately matched to results
  • Research and pitch podcasts and YouTube channels for promotional swaps, collaborations, and client guest appearances
  • Manage scheduling and promotional materials, including biographies and headshots, in partnership with client teams, host-show contacts, and Creator Partnerships
  • Maintain the programming calendar for editorial pitches to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, iHeart, and YouTube
  • Track upcoming show moments, platform requirements, and submission lead times to support timely and relevant editorial pitches
  • Help improve and automate campaign workflows, reporting processes, and other repetitive operational tasks

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
  • 3-5 years of experience in audience development, marketing operations, campaign management, or ad operations within podcasting, audio, or digital media
  • Hands-on experience booking campaigns in an enterprise podcast hosting and advertising platform
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including experience using pivot tables and lookup functions to create clear reports from raw data exports
  • Familiarity with podcast measurement or attribution platforms such as Magellan AI, Podscribe, or Podtrac
  • Strong written communication skills and the confidence to present performance data, insights, and recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Experience managing outreach or partnerships, including promotional swaps, guest bookings, creator collaborations, or platform relationships
  • Careful and consistent execution, with the judgment to identify incorrect date ranges, mismatched metrics, or other discrepancies before they reach a final report
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns, deadlines, and stakeholder relationships in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive approach to improving systems, solving operational challenges, and identifying opportunities for audience growth

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER
  • Day-to-day experience working with podcast attribution tools such as Magellan AI, Podscribe, or Podtrac
  • Previous experience working within a podcast network
  • Listener fluency across podcast genres such as news, true crime, comedy, and sports
  • Working knowledge of SQL or light Python
  • Experience using AI tools to accelerate analysis, reporting, and repetitive workflows, including agentic tools such as Claude Code or Codex
