We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Senior Corporate Project Manager to join our Corporate Governance department. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of proven experience in managing large-scale IT and Business projects and demonstrate a deep understanding of corporate project governance principles. This role requires a strategic individual who can oversee complex projects, provide guidance, and drive innovation across the organization. The Senior Corporate Project Manager will also mentor junior team members and influence key stakeholders.

What you'll be doing:   

  • Lead and manage large-scale, complex IT and Business projects from initiation to completion, focusing on milestones, deliverables, budgets, resources, and key stakeholder relations.
  • Work closely with Product Owners and key stakeholders impacted by your projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and project goals.
  • Be accountable for project results and responsible for the entire project lifecycle, including the completion of statements of work, work breakdown structures, and project plans.
  • Maintain and manage relationships and dependencies with other functional groups and corporate project managers, ensuring smooth project operations.
  • Ensure plans are in place to address risks, get projects back on track when necessary, and manage re-baseline activities effectively
  • Control project scope and objectives using a mix of agility and change management processes to ensure project success.
  • Identify, manage, and control project budgets, ensuring financial alignment with project goals and corporate governance standards.
  • Provide strong status reporting and manage expectations, communicating any deviations, impediments, risks, or concerns to the PMO
  • Share, promote, and mentor team members on best practices and lessons learned, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Support and review the production of business requirement documents during project initiation to ensure clear and actionable plans.
  • Promote transparency and neutrality in project operations, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned. 

What you'll need to be successful:  

Must haves:   

  • 8+ years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior or lead role within the IT industry, preferably in corporate project governance or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies, tools, and best practices, with a strong understanding of corporate governance frameworks and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven ability to address complex problems with innovative, critical thinking and develop effective solutions that drive project success.
  • Experience mentoring and leading project teams, with a track record of fostering professional growth and development among team members.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • A history of managing high-impact projects that have significantly contributed to organizational improvements and strategic objectives.
