Join rockITdata as a Risk & Issue Manager (RAID) supporting a mission-critical federal healthcare modernization initiative. In this role, you'll help drive successful program delivery by proactively identifying, tracking, and mitigating risks while ensuring issues, assumptions, and dependencies are effectively managed throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with Program Management, technical teams, and Government stakeholders, you'll provide the visibility and governance needed to support informed decision-making, reduce program risk, and keep critical healthcare technology initiatives on track.

This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who enjoys solving problems, collaborating across diverse teams, and contributing to large-scale technology transformation efforts that improve healthcare services for Veterans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain the program's Risk, Issue, Assumption, and Dependency (RAID) log throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify, assess, prioritize, and monitor program risks while developing mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Track program issues and coordinate resolution activities with project managers, technical leads, and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate regular RAID review meetings and provide status updates to program leadership.
  • Monitor cross-functional dependencies and ensure impacts to schedule, scope, or budget are identified early.
  • Prepare executive dashboards, risk summaries, and governance reports supporting customer and leadership reviews.
  • Collaborate with project teams to proactively identify emerging risks and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain documentation supporting governance activities, readiness reviews, and customer reporting requirements.
  • Recommend improvements to project governance processes that strengthen risk management and program execution.
  • Support Program Management Office (PMO) activities as needed to ensure successful project delivery.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience supporting project management, risk management, or enterprise technology programs.
  • Experience managing project risks, issues, and dependencies within complex IT environments.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Experience developing executive reports, dashboards, and governance documentation.
  • Experience supporting VA, VHA, DHA, or other Federal healthcare organizations, health IT, telehealth, or Federal program management is preferred.
  • PMI-RMP, PMP, or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Level 3 Public Trust clearance.
