Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Set and pull molds (knowledge of setting up hydraulic cores)
  • Set up auxiliary equipment
  • Help with starting machines
  • Help supervisor in answering alarms
  • Debug auxiliary equipment problems
  • Performs necessary preventative maintenance on molds


Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience  with setting up molds
  • Must be able to safely work  around molding machines
  • Must be able to operate forklift and the overhead crane
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Good communication skills –written & oral
  • Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Must be able to read, write & speak English
  • Some processing knowledge required

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to hear machine alarms
  • Good mobility, energy level & ability to routinely lift 50 pounds
  • Requires good visual acuity and the ability to detect visual changes in plastic
  • Able to climb ladders up to 6 feet
  • Physical strength to perform ratcheting motion to torque settings
  • Good mobility for high physical activity including but not limited to reaching, standing, stooping, squatting, & crawling to access machine areas
