Job description

Role: Test Architect – GenAI Agentic Testing & Playwright Automation
Location: Des Moines, IA (Onsite from Day 1)
Duration: 6 months

Job Description/ Responsibilities:
• Lead the transformation of Quality Engineering from manual record/playback testing to a high leverage, Agentic Testing Ecosystem
• Establish a headless first validation strategy, where majority of testing is performed below the UI layer using intelligent agents
• Drive the future of QE by eliminating brittle, script based automation in favor of autonomous, intent driven validation
• Architect and implement an agentic, headless testing layer leveraging Playwright’s API and automation capabilities
• Design and deploy autonomous testing agents to validate business logic, APIs, service contracts, and state transitions without relying on UI execution
• Enable agents to dynamically determine the optimal API or UI path to validate business outcomes
• Build self healing automation frameworks capable of adapting to UI changes, schema evolution, and contract shifts with minimal manual intervention
• Architect generative test data and ETL validation agents to create production like, high entropy data at scale
• Integrate agent driven quality signals into CI/CD pipelines for real time, event driven quality observability
• Champion the “Zero Script” philosophy, eliminating manual record/playback as a long term risk to quality and scalability
Requirements:
• Expert level proficiency in Playwright for both UI and API automation
• Gen AI – Knowledge on Building Agents
• Strong programming experience in TypeScript / Node.js or Python
• Deep understanding of headless testing, API validation, and service level automation
• Solid knowledge of microservices architectures, distributed systems, and event driven design
• Experience in Integrating agentic triggers into the CI/CD pipeline
• Strong architectural and systems thinking mindset with a focus on scalability and maintainability
