The Quality Engineer is responsible for testing new features, writing and maintaining test cases, and regression testing the app prior to release. The Quality Engineer will also support the team via troubleshooting, answering questions, and brainstorming solutions.   


Responsibilities: 

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated end-to-end, regression, and UI test suites using Playwright and TypeScript  
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines  
  • Identify automation opportunities and reduce repetitive manual regression coverage  
  • Review test failures, maintain flaky-test stability, and improve test reliability  
  • Partner with developers to define testability requirements and automation strategy 
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated tests for web or mobile applications 
  • Experience building end-to-end, regression, and UI automated test suites using Playwright and TypeScript 
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience integrating automated tests into release workflows 
  • Ability to analyze test failures, troubleshoot flaky tests, and improve the reliability, maintainability, and coverage of automated test suites 
  • Strong understanding of software quality practices, test design techniques, and how to translate functional requirements into automated test coverage 
  • Experience using Git and collaborating with developers through code reviews, pull requests, and shared test automation standards 
  • Ability to perform targeted manual validation when needed and clearly document expected results, defects, reproduction steps, and findings 
  • Familiarity with AI-powered testing tools and approaches, with the ability to evaluate and apply AI-based testing techniques where relevant 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across distributed teams
