About the Opportunity

Prevail Recruiting is representing a well-established, 50+ year-old industrial manufacturing company with a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and long-term customer partnerships.


This organization operates in a complex, process-driven plating environment and is currently entering a phase of operational growth and investment.


They are seeking a Chemical Maintenance Supervisor to oversee chemical processes, maintenance operations, and environmental compliance across production.



The Role


This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for supervising chemical maintenance activities, supporting production uptime, and ensuring compliance across all chemical handling, waste management, and safety protocols.


You will play a key role in keeping production running efficiently, maintaining chemical systems, and leading a small team in a fast-paced industrial environment.



Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support chemical maintenance and production staff
  • Oversee plating tank chemistry, batch treatments, and tank changeouts
  • Maintain chemical inventory (daily, weekly, monthly)
  • Manage hazardous waste handling and compliance (RCRA, DOT, etc.)
  • Perform and oversee waste inspections and environmental safety protocols
  • Schedule and maintain filtration systems and chemical equipment
  • Ensure production uptime through proactive maintenance
  • Coordinate receiving, storage, and handling of chemicals
  • Maintain accurate logs, documentation, and reporting
  • Enforce safety standards, PPE compliance, and housekeeping


What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in chemical maintenance, plating, or industrial manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of plating tank chemistry or similar process environments
  • Experience supervising or leading teams in a production setting
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and environmental compliance
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Wastewater Treatment License (Class C preferred)
