Job description

Serioplast, a Global Leader in Rigid Plastic Packaging, is Looking for a Senior Plastic Injection Molding Technologist for its plant in St. Louis, Missouri!

What will you do?
  • Serve as a key point of reference for Technologists and support the Technical Manager in setting priorities, removing bottlenecks, and addressing critical issues.
  • Set up product recipes, ensuring all required regulations and PLC parameters are correctly applied.
  • Perform necessary mechanical and electronic adjustments and monitor production variables to ensure product specifications are met.
  • Conduct investigations and troubleshooting to resolve quality issues.
  • Train and support production staff in resolving minor technical problems affecting product quality.
  • Carry out electromechanical installation and setup of machines and equipment (compressors, air conditioning systems, dryers, leak testers, cameras, palletizers, etc.).
  • Develop solutions by fabricating mechanical or other components to address production or technical issues and improve machine performance.
  • Support the Technical Manager in continuous improvement projects and in decisions regarding machines, equipment, molds, and processes.

What are we looking for?
  • Excellent knowledge of plastic molding technologies (EBM and/or SBM and/or IM), with specific experience in Husky injection molding of PET preforms on high-cavitation molds.
  • Excellent applied knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical and/or electronic systems.
  • Good applied knowledge of measuring instruments and techniques.
  • Good applied knowledge of WCM standards.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working with industry specific technologies and productive processes.
