Job Overview:
The responsibility of the Machine Operator is to operate molding equipment to produce various molded products to efficiency and quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all necessary information and tools required for each job are in place before work begins
  • Pull and review setup sheets prior to starting a job
  • Maintains equipment required for molding machines
  • Stage product properly after molding and move to required staging locations
  • Complete all assigned projects by the due date
  • Review production priorities
  • Must meet or exceed all training requirements including those related to ISO standards and attend scheduled shift meetings or other meetings required
  • Meets or exceeds production targets
  • Inspects product for conformance to quality standards
  • Produces molded products using various methods designated for the job. These methods include, but are not limited to:
    • Use of oven controls
    • Use of overhead crane
    • Use of hand and power tools
    • Use of pallet jack
    • Use of open flame
  • Maintains a clean and organized working environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • 1-2 years' experience in manufacturing preferred
  • Good communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to read and write proficiently in English
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Ability to operate and maintain industrial equipment

Working Conditions
  • Able to work in a hot humid environment for extended periods of time
  • This job is in a typical manufacturing environment, to include, but not limited to:
    • Ovens, torches, and rotating tools
    • Forklifts and other moving machinery
    • Loud work environment

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to remain stationary with intermediate walking throughout the shift
  • Must be able to frequently lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds alone and parts more than 50 pounds with assistance, and must be able to transport these up to 20 feet
  • Must be able to frequently position self to maneuver around the parts, materials and molds
  • Must be able to operate hand tools
  • Must be able to write legibly
