Job description

Role: Senior Project Manager (Level 3)

Location: Albany, NY (Hybrid 2 days onsite, 3 days remote)

Duration: Long term Contract

Scope of Services:
Provide end-to-end project management consulting services for enterprise initiatives within an Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO), supporting large-scale legacy system replacement programs. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors, report to senior delivery leadership, and ensure projects follow PMI PMBOKยฎ standards. Identify and recommend process improvements through standardization, automation, and Business Process Reengineering (BPR).

Mandatory Skills & Experience:

  • 8+ years managing large, multi-workstream projects or programs.
  • 5+ years as a PMO Project Manager, coordinating across multiple projects/divisions.
  • Senior-level experience driving organizational and functional change.
  • Strong understanding of PMO governance, policies, and resource management.
  • Experience managing System Integration vendors and teams of 15+ internal/consultant resources.
  • Acts as the single point of accountability for scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, issues, change, communications, procurement, and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to independently lead teams while fostering collaboration.
  • Strong stakeholder, executive communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to produce clear, actionable executive reports and dashboards.
  • Experience incorporating continuous feedback to improve delivery.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Microsoft Project).
  • Experience with project/portfolio management tools (e.g., Planview, Sensei IQ).
  • PMP certification required.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Planview PPM Pro experience.
  • Sensei IQ experience.
  • Experience with Pension Administration Systems.
  • Delivery experience using Agile, Hybrid, COTS, Iterative, and Waterfall methodologies.
