Project Portfolio Management (PPM) Adoption and Enablement Lead

What you'll do:

The PPM Enablement & Adoption Lead is responsible for leading enterprise-wide adoption, enablement, and governance of the organization's Project Portfolio Management (PPM) platform, Planview Portfolio and Planview Project. The role leads training strategy, communications, and adoption activities to ensure consistent and effective use of the PPM solution across portfolios, programs, and projects. The role ensures changes to PPM processes, governance, and tooling are understood, embedded in day-to-day ways of working, and sustained to support strategic execution, transparency, and decision-making.
  • Lead adoption and enablement of enterprise PPM tools, including development and delivery of training, communications, and role-based guidance
  • Translate complex PPM processes, system capabilities, and financial data into clear, actionable guidance for stakeholders
  • Partner with EPPM, IT, Finance, and Risk to ensure alignment of PPM processes with governance, regulatory, and control requirements
  • Support implementation, enhancements, and migration activities (e.g., Workfront to Planview), ensuring operational readiness and user adoption
  • Develop and execute PPM enablement strategies, adoption roadmaps, communication plans, and training programs
  • Drive standardization of project lifecycle processes, including planning, execution, resource management, and financial tracking
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement across all levels, including senior leadership, to drive alignment and adoption of PPM processes and tools
  • Support portfolio governance activities, including prioritization, investment planning, and executive reporting
  • Monitor and reinforce adherence to PPM standards, governance controls, and enterprise processes
  • Maintain a centralized PPM adoption hub that consolidates communications, training, FAQs, and updates.

What you'll need:

  • 7+ years of experience in project management or a related field, including experience supporting enterprise PPM platforms and driving adoption and process standardization
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (business, information systems, organizational change, communications, or similar) or equivalent experience. Relevant disciplines include business, information systems, organizational change, communications, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience leading cross-functional initiatives, including system implementations, change management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management, and/or commercial banking products
  • Advanced knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements, with ability to align processes and documentation to audit and control expectations
  • Advanced experience working on project-based teams, including enterprise-scale implementations, migrations, or modernization initiatives with a focus on operational readiness and adoption.
  • Advanced experience developing strategic plans, including PPM enablement strategies, adoption roadmaps, communication plans, and training programs to support enterprise rollout and sustained usage.
  • Advanced experience supporting EPMO functions, including governance, resource management, and portfolio reporting
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with ability to translate complex processes into role-based guidance
  • Strong influencing skills with ability to drive adoption across a matrixed organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Planview Portfolio and Planview Project, including portfolio governance, prioritization, and project execution capabilities
  • Experience supporting PPM implementations, migrations, or enterprise modernization initiatives
  • Experience working in a regulated, enterprise-scale financial services environment
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Change management certification (e.g., Prosci, CCMP, APMG)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including facilitation of training sessions and development of job aids
  • Ability to travel up to 25% as needed to support enterprise rollout and stakeholder engagement.
