Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Technologist with extensive, current experience across multiple surgical specialties, including Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, and General Surgery. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional technical expertise, critical thinking, and the ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced, high-acuity operating room. Candidates without broad, recent surgical experience across these specialties will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies for procedures.
  • Scrub and assist surgeons during complex surgical cases, including orthopedic, neuro, vascular, and general procedures.
  • Maintain strict sterile technique and ensure patient safety throughout surgical procedures.
  • Anticipate surgeon needs and provide instrumentation efficiently during operations.
  • Assist with specimen handling, surgical counts, and room turnover.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of surgical instrumentation, equipment, and central sterile processing.
  • Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Float to the General OR and/or Outpatient Surgery Center, as needed based on patient census and staffing requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred but not required.
