Job description

ComResource is looking for an Engineer, Application Development and Maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary technical subject matter expert for PMO tools, managing Planview's backend data architecture, schema structures, and overall data integrity.
  • Execute advanced Planview platform configuration, administration, and system maintenance to support enterprise-wide portfolio management.
  • Design, implement, and maintain robust database schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, and indexing strategies that support Planview integrations and reporting.
  • Build, configure, and troubleshoot multi-system integrations and scalable data pipelines connecting Planview to other enterprise systems such as ServiceNow and HR systems.
  • Develop, monitor, and optimize complex SQL queries, views, and ETL processes to feed downstream reporting tools such as Power BI with high-performing data.
  • Perform proactive database maintenance and query performance tuning on data warehouses and reporting databases.
  • Partner with senior team members to translate cross-functional business needs into technical configurations and assist in the technical onboarding of external teams into the Planview platform.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical database and platform issues, delivering both short- and long-term resolutions in an active Agile backlog environment.

Essentials:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical work experience.
  • 4–8 years of professional experience in enterprise application development, Planview administration and configuration, or database development and administration.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience configuring, administering, and managing Planview applications such as Planview Portfolios, Enterprise, or PPM Solutions.
  • Strong database developer and DBA skills, including advanced knowledge of database architecture, indexing, partitioning, and transactional replication in SQL Server, Oracle, or similar platforms.
  • Exceptional ability to write, debug, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers against large ERP and PPM databases.
  • Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and supporting and optimizing production ETL pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience building, consuming, and troubleshooting REST and SOAP APIs to support multi-system automated integrations.
  • Strong proficiency in configuring automated data flows and dashboards within the Microsoft Power Suite, including Power BI and Power Automate.
  • Solid understanding of PMO methodologies, project portfolio management, and related business processes.
  • Proven ability to work independently on complex projects and develop innovative and secure technical solutions.
