EHC is looking for a Plant Janitor for a Client in the Houston Area

Job Type: Temporary-to-Hire (Conversion Schedule: 520 Hours)
Status: Full-Time
Start Date: July 9, 2026
End Date: January 4, 2027
Assignment Duration: Approximately 180 Days
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:30 PM (Day Shift)
Overtime: Not Anticipated

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Plant Janitor to support the cleanliness, safety, and organization of our manufacturing facility. This long-term temporary assignment offers the potential for future full-time employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining production and office areas, supporting facility upkeep, and ensuring a clean and safe working environment for all employees.

Hiring Process: In-person interviews are required prior to extending an offer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness throughout production, warehouse, office, and common areas.
  • Perform routine janitorial duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Organize and maintain the parts room, ensuring materials are properly stored and easily accessible.
  • Complete light facility maintenance tasks such as installing signs, shelves, and other fixtures.
  • Operate power washing equipment to clean floors, equipment, and exterior areas.
  • Perform periodic commercial carpet cleaning.
  • Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies; notify management when inventory requires replenishment.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Assist with additional housekeeping and facility support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous janitorial, custodial, or industrial cleaning experience preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Ability to perform physical activities including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the workday.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, organized facility.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Preferred Skills

  • Forklift operation experience (preferred but not required).
  • Experience with power washing equipment and commercial carpet cleaning.
  • Basic maintenance skills and experience using common hand tools.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial facility.

Education Requirement

High School Diploma or GED Required
