Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanners, and forklifts—sometimes requiring certification—is typically expected. Reliability, teamwork, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are essential soft skills. Common Search/ComparisonOften compared for specializationGeneral term for beer production roles

While Lagers specialize in producing lager beers, Brewers have a broader role that includes making various beer types. Brewers often oversee the entire brewing process, including lagers, ales, and other styles. Lagers focus specifically on the lager fermentation process, requiring specific skills and certifications. Both roles are essential in the brewing industry, but Brewers typically have a wider scope of responsibilities.

What are Lagers?

Lagers are a type of beer that are brewed and conditioned at low temperatures using bottom-fermenting yeast. They tend to have a clean, crisp taste and are often lighter in color compared to ales. Popular styles of lager include Pilsner, Helles, and Märzen. Lagers are widely enjoyed around the world and are known for their refreshing qualities and smooth finish.
