Planned Parenthood of Florida is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our talented team at our Tallahassee Health Center. Schedule:
This is a part-time position scheduled for 3 day a week, with flexibilities on days of week.

Snapshot of Key Accountabilities of the Registered Nurse:

  • Deliver, coordinate, and ensure quality care in gynecology, sexually transmitted disease, family planning and contraceptive counseling, and procedural and recovery services.
  • Support the health center team in providing abortion, colposcopy, LEEP, LARC, vasectomy, and family planning services.
  • Provide pre and post procedure education, including contraceptive counseling and follow up care.
  • Administer medications, perform lab procedures, and maintain accurate patient records, upholding confidentiality and compliance standards.
  • Assist with procedural sedation, including IV administration, sedation assessment, and patient monitoring.
  • Promote a welcoming and respectful environment for all patients, staff, and partners, reflecting PPFL’s core workplace values.
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure smooth health center operations, including participation in after-hours coverage, as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of internal policies, standards, and procedures, and complete required onboarding and ongoing training.

Experience/Education of the Registered Nurse:

  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida, or Compact licensure if applicable.
  • BLS and ACLS certification required.
  • Must have a strong understanding of and personal commitment to reproductive rights and the goals and responsibilities of Planned Parenthood.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Comfort discussing sexuality, contraception, sexually transmitted diseases, and pregnancy options.
  • Previous experience working with Microsoft Office suite preferred.
  • Ability to function appropriately in sensitive situations and with diverse populations.

Compensation:

  • Hourly compensation for Registered Nurse starts at $36.00 per hour, with final compensation commensurate with experience and local market conditions.
