Job description

Pirate Ventures is seeking a Family Entertainment Center General Manager to lead operations at Kraken Kourts & Skates, a growing entertainment destination featuring pickleball, food & beverage, private events, and a new kids play center opening soon.

We're looking for a hands-on leader who thrives in hospitality, builds strong teams, delivers exceptional guest experiences, and drives financial performance. This role is responsible for the daily operation of the business, including service, staffing, membership growth, events, and overall profitability.

What You'll Do
  • Lead daily operations across pickleball, family entertainment, food & beverage, and private events
  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences and maintain high service standards
  • Hire, train, coach, and develop managers and frontline team members
  • Manage scheduling, labor performance, payroll, and staffing plans
  • Own venue financial performance, including budgets, P&L, labor costs, and COGS
  • Drive membership growth and retention through community programming, promotions, and guest engagement
  • Oversee inventory, purchasing, vendor relationships, and administrative functions
  • Execute private events, tournaments, birthday parties, and corporate outings
  • Ensure facility cleanliness, safety, maintenance, and operational readiness
  • Partner with Pirate Ventures leadership to identify opportunities for revenue growth and operational improvement
What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of General Manager or senior operations leadership experience
  • Background in hospitality, food & beverage, entertainment, recreation, sports, or family entertainment centers
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, labor management, inventory controls, and financial reporting
  • Proven ability to lead teams and create a positive workplace culture
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
