We are currently looking for an Integrity Engineer for our Houston, Texas office.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Support the Asset Integrity and Pipeline Safety team by performing technical tasks related to welding procedures, anomaly assessment calculations, and materials verification. This role assists with analysis and documentation necessary to maintain the integrity and regulatory compliance of the pipeline system.
Additional responsibilities to include:
  • Provide technical support for welding procedure specification (WPS) development and updates.
  • Assist in reviewing weld procedures and welder qualifications per API 1104, ASME Section IX, and Boardwalk standards.
  • Assist in reviewing NDE procedures (Radiographic, Ultrasonic, Magnetic particle, Dye Penetrant, etc) per API 1104 and Boardwalk standards.
  • Support senior engineers in evaluating anomalies using in-line inspection (ILI) data and fitness-for-service
  • calculations (e.g., ASME B31G, Modified B31G, RSTRENG).
  • Compile and validate data from dig programs, ILI assessments, and corrosion monitoring for anomaly investigation and documentation.
  • Maintain technical databases and support data integration efforts related to anomaly tracking and metallurgical properties.
  • Assist with internal reviews of vendor or mill documentation, including MTR reviews.
  • Support quality assurance activities as needed
  • Help coordinate contract lab services and inspections as needed.
  • Ensure documentation meets the requirements of 49 CFR Parts 192 and 195 as applicable

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Strong working knowledge or aptitude to learn welding procedures, fitness-for-service calculations, and pipeline materials.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and technical reporting tools.
  • Must be detail-oriented with strong written documentation and communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% to support dig programs, field inspections, and vendor oversight.

PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Background in welding inspection, pipeline integrity assessments, or corrosion control.
  • Hands-on experience with ILI anomaly sizing and FFS calculations.
  • Familiarity with metallurgical lab testing procedures (e.g., hardness, tensile, CVN testing).
  • Experience interpreting regulations, codes, and standards (CFR Part 192/195, API 1104, ASME B31.8, API 5L).

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
  • B.S. in Engineering

PREFERRED EDUCATION:
  • B.S in Metallurgy/Material Science
