Pipe Yard Forklift Operator
Full-time
Salary: DOE
Consolidated Pipe & Supply is a full-line supplier, fabricator, and manufacturer of pipe, valve, and fitting products and services to the natural gas, waterworks, energy, and industrial sectors.
Summary:
Will be responsible for operating and managing industrial trucks to load, unload, and transport materials and deliveries to and from storage areas, machines, and loading docks, as well as to and from trucks, or storage facilities.
Performance Standards:
  • Providing exceptional customer service to all customers, suppliers, and employees.
  • Constantly representing the company in a positive and professional manner regardless of customer requests, complaints, or demeanor.
  • Complying with policies and procedures.
  • Interacting with other employees, suppliers, and customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Communicating work progress and significant issues to the immediate supervisor.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts to handle pipe and warehouse materials.
  • Arrange and organize products and materials in a warehouse and pipe yard.
  • Prepare and verify shipment papers.
  • Organize transportation of materials in pipe yard.
  • Inspect and verify products, materials, and equipment before storing them in pipe yard.
  • Execute loading and unloading operations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and practices in warehouse operations.
  • Responsible for completing any assignments given by Supervisor, even those assignments not specifically listed in this job description.
Qualifications:
  • 1 to 3 years in 15,500# or greater forklift experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to read and understand work instructions for the position held.
