Position Summary
Hours Per Week: Up to 19.5 hours per week
Department: All Campuses - Visual Arts
Rate of Pay: $16.72/hour
Under the direction of the Art Department, serve as a model for drawing, painting, and sculpture classes. Initiate, take, hold, and remember specific poses for varying periods of time.
This is a pool position. Openings may become available in Tucson at Downtown Campus, East Campus, Northwest Campus and West Campus and in Nogales at the Santa Cruz Center.
About Temporary Employment:
This position has 5 vacant positions and will establish a qualified applicant pool for part-time temporary positions. Applications will remain active for 6 months to a year and selected candidates may be contacted as positions become available or when immediate staffing needs arise. Placement in the pool does not guarantee employment. The applicant pool will be refreshed annually.
Temporary applicants may be hired for specific assignments or placed in an applicant pool for future opportunities, depending on enrollment levels and business needs. If selected from this pool of applicants, candidates contacted will receive details regarding the specific assignment and will have the opportunity to confirm interest and availability.
We are seeking dedicated part-time temporary employees to join our qualified applicant pool. Selected candidates will be considered for placement as positions become available or when immediate staffing needs arise.
Part-time temporary roles offer flexible scheduling and the opportunity to support a diverse population of students in achieving their educational goals.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Pose clothed and/or unclothed for drawing, painting and sculpture classes
  • Take and hold a variety poses, varying in time from one minute to 25 minutes
  • Initiate a pose in conjunction with the instructor's directions
  • Continue a long pose after rest periods; resume same position, angle and facial expression

Job Requirements/Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience working as a fine arts classroom model

Or
  • Interest working as a fine arts classroom model

Preferred:
  • Previous art classroom modeling experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Being punctual and maintaining an agreed appointment schedule
  • Ability to initiate a series of poses appropriate for drawing, painting and sculpture classes
  • Physical capacity to do modeling work
  • Take and hold a pose without moving for up to twenty-five minutes
  • Remember and resume poses after rest periods
  • Initiate appropriate poses in response to instructor's directions
  • Understand the look and capacity of their body
  • Ability to travel to campus locations
