Pay starts at $16.00-.$16.50 Pay is based on experience. 

SUMMARY

The mission of all Tops associates is to adhere to the Tops vision of providing a friendly neighborhood store that saves the customer time and money.   Pharmacy clerk is responsible for providing attentive and courteous customer service while receiving written prescriptions or helping customers with questions. Pharmacy clerk is also responsible for ordering, checking orders from suppliers, and stocking shelves in the pharmacy as well as general housekeeping.
 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding Pharmacy operations, safety, and sanitation
  • Retrieve medications from shelves, count or pour medications, label containers, and price prescriptions. The pharmacist MUST always perform a final check on ALL prescription before they are placed in a bag.
  • Adhere to company policy through proper processing, preparation, and packaging of prescriptions
  • Enter customer data into the computer, keep accurate records, complete all necessary paperwork relating to the pharmacy
  • Follow direction from the pharmacist on duty and pharmacy manager, pharmacist must be present when clerk is in the pharmacy
  • Maintain security of all controlled substances
  • Maintain adequate supplies, stock pharmacy shelves, place orders, check in orders received from suppliers
  • Fulfill general housekeeping duties
  • Process orders to include filling prescriptions and accepting payment
  • Minimize shrink through proper handling and storing of product
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be 16 years of age and 18 years of age to perform certain functions/tasks

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
  • Possess basic computer skills
  • Possess strong communication skills
