Pay Range: $18-$21/hr

Position Summary
The Activity Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and leading engaging programs that enhance the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive well-being of residents. This role creates meaningful experiences that promote resident participation, independence, and quality of life while fostering a positive community environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a monthly activity calendar that meets the interests and needs of residents.
  • Lead group and individual activities, including recreational, educational, social, and wellness programs.
  • Encourage resident participation and engagement in community events.
  • Coordinate outings, special events, and holiday celebrations.
  • Maintain activity supplies, equipment, and program documentation.
  • Collaborate with residents, families, and team members to identify program opportunities and preferences.
  • Ensure activities are conducted in a safe and inclusive manner.
  • Assist with resident communication and promote upcoming events throughout the community.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, Human Services, or a related field preferred.
  • One year of experience in activities, recreation, senior living, healthcare, or customer service preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead groups and engage individuals with diverse interests and abilities.
