Job description

We are seeking a talented and dynamic Video & Photo Specialist to join the Social Production team at Trove Brands. This role will be responsible for concepting, capturing, producing, and editing best-in-class photo and video content that drives engagement across our portfolio of brands. The ideal candidate is a social-first visual storyteller with expertise behind both the camera and in post-production, balancing creative vision with platform performance. 

Responsibilities 

  • Content Creation: Concept, capture, edit, and deliver high-quality photography and short-form video content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and emerging social platforms. Produce supporting assets including stills, GIFs, thumbnails, graphics, and platform-specific deliverables. 
  • Creative Direction: Partner with Social Media Specialists, Art Directors, Designers, and Brand Marketing teams to develop social-first creative concepts aligned with campaign objectives, brand identity, and audience insights. 
  • Video Production: Lead all phases of video production, including pre-production planning, shot lists, lighting, audio, filming, editing, color correction, motion graphics, captions, and final delivery. 
  • Photography: Capture lifestyle, product, event, creator, and campaign photography that supports both always-on social content and larger marketing initiatives. 
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay current on social trends, creator content, editing styles, platform updates, and emerging production techniques to continuously elevate creative output. 
  • Creator & Influencer Collaboration: Work alongside creators, influencers, athletes, and talent to develop authentic, engaging content that feels native to each platform. 
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Brand, Creative, Events, Product Marketing, and Digital teams to ensure content supports broader business and campaign goals. 
  • Asset Management: Organize, maintain, and archive photo and video assets while ensuring files are optimized for efficient cross-functional use. 

Note, we anticipate a split of video and photo tasks to be accordingly: 65% video and 35% photo. 

Qualifications 

  • 3+ years of experience in social media content production, photography, videography, or a related creative role. 
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating both photography and video work, with an emphasis on social-first storytelling. 
  • Expertise with cameras, lighting, audio equipment, and production workflows. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, After Effects preferred) and familiarity with additional content creation tools. 
  • Strong understanding of social platform best practices, formats, and creative trends. 
  • Excellent visual storytelling skills with a strong eye for composition, pacing, color, and design. 
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Film, Photography, Digital Media, or a related field (preferred but not required). 
  • Portfolio or reel required.
