Job description

Overview: 

We are seeking a creative and technically skilled Mid-Level Photo/Video Specialist with Social Media Expertise to join our dynamic team. This role combines a passion for visual storytelling with proficiency in creating engaging content for various social media platforms such as TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram Reels. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise in photography and videography, along with a deep understanding of social media trends and audience engagement strategies. Applicants who are actively part of and have a passion for the car community will quickly rise to the top.


Responsibilities:

  • Produce high-quality photo and video content for a range of purposes including marketing campaigns, social media posts, product demonstrations, ecommerce websites/marketplace, event coverage, product installations and more.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing and creative teams to conceptualize and execute visual content that aligns with brand identity and marketing objectives.
  • Manage the entire production process from ideation to post-production, ensuring content is delivered on time.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in photography, videography, and social media to continuously improve content quality and engagement.
  • Optimize content for different social media platforms, understanding the unique requirements and best practices for each (YouTube, Instagram Reels, TikTok, etc.).
  • Optimize content for different online marketplace platforms, understanding the unique requirements and best practices for each (Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Best Buy, etc.).
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to refine strategies and improve audience engagement and reach.
  • Assist in managing social media channels, including content scheduling, community engagement, and responding to inquiries/comments.
  • Manage all media file organization and archiving for content delivery and future retrieval which includes cloud-based services like dropbox/onedrive, physical servers, metadata, and proper file naming. 
  • Assist and participate in marketing events, both online and offline, as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Film Production, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience (1-3 years) in photography and videography, with a strong portfolio demonstrating technical proficiency and creativity.
  • Experience creating and editing content specifically for social media platforms such as TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram Reels.
  • Experience creating and editing content specifically for web stores and ecommerce marketplace such as Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Woocommerce, and more.
  • Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects) and photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom).
  • Solid understanding of social media analytics and tools for tracking performance (e.g., YouTube Studio, Instagram Insights, TikTok Analytics).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and visual communication.
  • Local to the Greater-Chicagoland area and able and willing to be in our Libertyville based office.
  • Travel when required: Up to 30% or as marketing events & shoots warrant.
  • Ability to lift a minimum weight 50 lbs.


Salary Range: $45,000-$65,000
