Job description

The Position The purpose of this classification is to perform routine general tasks in support of Recreation and Parks Department for the following opportunities: Athletics Center & Gyms Aquatics Golf Course Play Grounds Duties Maintain good public relations with participants, parents/guardians, other staff members and general public. Assist in planning, organizing and implementing programs and activities .Set up of equipment/supplies and storage upon the conclusion of the program or activity. Responsible to keep accurate records, maintain records and complete reports as necessary

Responsible for the maintenance and safe and proper use of program supplies. Maintain a clean, orderly, safe and secure environment for participants. Communicate effectively with staff, participants and parents/guardians.

Enforcement of rules, regulations policies and procedures in a responsible manner. Performs other related duties as required. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred; supplemented by 2 to 4 months previous experience and/or training involving general office tasks required; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

Availability to work weekends and evening hours. Some positions may require certifications (i.e. basic first aid, life guard, etc.) and/or necessitate skill testing (i.e., Life Guard)
