The Humanities and Social Sciences Department is a dynamic and growing department with a commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration.
The department offers undergraduate degrees in Applied Psychology and Population Health Management, Graduate degrees in Applied Behavior Analysis and Marriage and Family Therapy, minors in Arts, Literature and Philosophy, Medical Sociology, and Psychology, and a diverse collection of courses in support of Oregon Tech's general education mission.

Position Summary
Oregon Tech is accepting applications for Philosophy undergraduate Adjunct Instructors for the Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) Department.
The Humanities and Social Sciences Department is recruiting a pool of adjunct instructors for possible part-time teaching positions to support the department's General Education courses and minor in Arts, Literature, and Philosophy. Specifically, the department seeks adjunct instructors to teach HUM125: Technology, Society, and Values; PHIL331: Ethics in the Professions, and PHIL342: Business Ethics, among others.
Teaching Modality: Appointments may include courses offered on-line, in person on campus, or in an alternative format responsive to state and local requirements.
Location: The primary campus locations include the Klamath Falls campus, the Portland-Metro campus (located in Wilsonville, OR), and online. Teaching may be conducted remotely/online, within the United States.
Interested candidates should apply online and submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and a list of three references with contact information. In your cover letter, please specify those areas or courses that you are qualified to offer and would be interested in teaching.
This pool will be accessed only when an opening or need arises. Your credentials will remain active as long as the pool position is available but no more than two years. After two years, if you are still interested, you must reapply to the most current adjunct pool.
Minimum Requirements

- Master's Degree or higher in Philosophy or related field.
- Experience teaching at the college level.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis at the time of hire; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or other employment-based immigration support.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Canvas or a similar Learning Management System (e.g., Blackboard)
- Experience using virtual meeting and collaboration tools for teaching, such as Zoom, Skype, and Microsoft Teams
