Job description

Overview
The person in this position participates in the Pharmacy Residency Program in a specialty area such as Pharmacy Practice Management, Adult Medicine, Drug Information, Oncology or Pediatrics.
These are 12-month, full-time programs that meet the ASHP Accreditation Standards for those specific specialties.
The resident works with many different members of the department and institution to meet the goals of providing pharmacy services in specific settings throughout the institution that represent that specialty and completing projects that benefit the institution.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
1. Graduate of ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy
2. Pharm.D. Degree
3. Pharmacy Practice Residency or equivalent experience
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills
Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position: Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Registered pharmacist in Florida or eligible for same
Additional Requirement: 'As a condition of employment within the Pharmacy Services Department of Shands Hospital all employees must be accessible by telephone. This requires each employee to provide a valid telephone number to the department Staff Assistant, in order for the department to reach them in the event of hospital need and/or emergency'.
