SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced Divisional Purchasing Manager to join our team. As the Divisional Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of medication purchasing and inventory control across multiple locations. This includes monitoring inventory levels, implementing efficient inventory systems, reviewing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, supplier management, personnel management, and negotiations.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Predictable, reliable, and punctual attendance is an essential function of the job role. The functions are as follows but not limited to:


- Review, audit, and approve purchase orders on a daily basis while maintaining days on hand goals.

- Review, audit, and approve customer returns on a monthly basis.

- Train and supervise purchasing staff members across a divisional range of pharmacies (up to 3).

- Be responsible for and drive improvement to pharmacy specific KPIs such as Days on Hand, Owes, and receiving response times.

- Conduct regular audits to verify inventory accuracy and resolve any discrepancies

- Provide support to customer service when it pertains to item availability and pricing

- Assist with the creation and training of department specific SOPs

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and plan for future inventory needs

- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movement

- Travel expectation 10-20%

Sitting for extended periods of time, computer usage including data entry for much of the workday, regular phone communication, handling paperwork and documentation, and participating in meetings.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Experience:

ยท Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.

ยท Proven experience in purchasing and inventory management, preferably in a pharmacy or healthcare environment.

ยท Strong knowledge of financial modeling principles related to inventory management.

ยท Familiarity with warehouse management systems and other inventory software.

ยท Experience in sourcing products from suppliers and managing supplier relationships

ยท Experience in managing teams across multiple locations.

ยท Excellent organizational and time management skills.

ยท Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

ยท Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
