General Areas of Responsibility:

A. Responsible for providing front desk reception at the PFH Clinic and maintaining an efficient flow of patients, visitors, and phone calls into the various components of PFH.ย 

B. Required to handle a medical office's basic communications and clerical tasks.


Detailed Areas of Responsibility:


A. Schedules patients for appointments in connection with PFH's various providers and programs.

B. Confirms eligibility of patients/clients for services prior to setting of appointments.

C. Performs insurance verification on patients at each visit.

D. Performs secretarial duties for the healthcare center as necessary.

E. Performs computer data input for healthcare center as necessary, including but not limited to, patient intake data and registration.

F. Accepts projects as assigned by the Chief Operations Officer.ย 

Requirements

Qualifications:


A. Ability to think, read, write, and speak English in an understandable manner. Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals across the organization.

B. Possesses a strong understanding of HIPAA regulations. Must have expertise using the Microsoft Office software suite required.ย 

C. Possesses detail-oriented skills and manages complex projects and multiple tasks.ย 

D. Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and ensure confidentiality.

E. Treats clients, staff, volunteers, board members, etc., with dignity and respect.

F. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others in the workplace.

G. Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals across the organization.

H. Must be detail-oriented and able to manage complex projects and multiple tasks.

I. Offer assistance to coworkers as needed.


Education and/or Experience:

A. High school diploma or equivalent required; BS/BA preferred.

B. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a healthcare environment, specifically with front desk/patient access duties.
