Job description

CASE MANAGER / LEGAL ASSISTANT (PERSONAL INJURY)


Location: Pembroke Pines, Florida
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Based on Experience

Garnes Injury Law is seeking an experienced, highly organized, and proactive Case Manager/Legal Assistant to join our growing personal injury law firm. This is not an entry-level position. Prior personal injury experience is required.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of all phases of a pre-suit personal injury case and be able to manage a caseload with minimal supervision while delivering exceptional client service.


REQUIREMENTS


• Minimum 2 years of Florida personal injury experience
• Fluent in both English and Spanish (required)
• Strong communication and client relation skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and a high-volume caseload
• Experience with medical records and billing requests
• Familiarity with bodily injury and uninsured motorist claims
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills


RESPONSIBILITIES


The Case Manager/Legal Assistant will be responsible for handling all aspects of pre-suit personal injury files, including:

• Opening and setting up new files
• Requesting and reviewing crash reports
• Verifying insurance coverage and policy information
• Sending letters of representation
• Ordering medical records and bills
• Monitoring client treatment and maintaining regular client contact
• Following up with providers regarding outstanding records and balances
• Reviewing PIP logs and health insurance information
• Assisting with property damage claims when necessary
• Preparing demand packages
• Negotiating bodily injury claims
• Communicating with insurance adjusters
• Maintaining accurate case notes and file documentation
• Identifying potential policy limit and UM opportunities
• Assisting with case resolution and settlement disbursement preparation
• Ensuring all files move efficiently from intake through settlement

The ideal candidate understands the entire life cycle of a Florida personal injury case and does not require extensive training on pre-suit procedures. We are looking for someone who is motivated, resourceful, accountable, and committed to providing excellent service to injured clients.
