Job description

Retail Merchandise Analyst (Hybrid)

Location: Jeffersonville, IN (Must live within 35 miles)
Schedule: Full Time | Hybrid
Department: Merchandising

Shoe Sensation is hiring a Retail Merchandise Analyst to support inventory planning, allocation, and product flow across 240+ stores. This role partners closely with Merchandising leadership to ensure the right products reach the right stores at the right time — driving sales, margin, and inventory health.
Primary Accountabilities/Job Responsibilities
• Manage inventory for assigned merchandise categories to drive sales and margin
• Build and maintain allocation strategies to maximize sell‑through
• Analyze item, program, and store performance to support turn and weeks‑of‑supply goals
• Execute initial and replenishment allocations by store
• Identify over/under performers and recommend actions to Planners and Buyers
• Develop and adjust models based on trends, size optimization, and inventory availability
• Plan assortments for new and remodeled stores
• Monitor new store performance to ensure healthy inventory levels
• Maintain replenishment parameters in Imagine
• Support attribute and cluster management across store groups
• Manage DC inventory levels and clearance store assortments
• Participate in process improvements and technology rollouts
• Build strong cross‑functional partnerships across Merchandising and Operations
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in merchandising, planning, allocation, or retail analytics
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to influence and communicate effectively
• Strong time‑management skills and ability to work independently
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
• Ability to travel up to 5%
