Sales And Inventory Manager
Analyze and monitor sales records and trends to anticipate consumer buying patterns and determine what the company will sell and how much inventory is needed.
Must have knowledge of perishable items, specific information such as inflation/deflation cycles, inventory experience and knowledge of pricing.
Learn and become proficient at the computer program Discovery.
Forward cost to Finance.
Examine, select, order and purchase products at the most favorable price consistent with quality, quantity, specification requirements and other established factors.
Responsible for the management of inventory purchased by daily review of item usage, sales inventory adjustments, and the creation of purchase orders to replenish inventory.
Works with Inbound to oversee inspection of incoming product received by handling and viewing product in order to maintain quality assurance program.
Work in conjunction with Director of Merchandising and Category Manager on any additional projects or needs.
Communicate vendor performance issues to category managers in a timely manner.
Maintain timely and thorough communication with warehouse on incoming purchase orders and work with sales associates on product needs.
Qualifications:
2+ years' experience in perishable foods buying (produce, meats, or seafood).
Excellent strategic thinking and negotiating skills.
Knowledge of Windows applications (Excel, Access) and knowledge of SAP.
Salary $60-70K + annual bonus potential, 401(K), Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and AD&D, PTO.
