You will manage the Reagent and Health Performance (RHP) team, overseeing headcount, budget, and logistics to ensure products are robust and sustainable. By setting high standards for efficiency, you'll drive the seamless transition of complex assays across their entire lifecycle.

The Opportunity:

  • Team Development: Hire, train, mentor, and develop team members to support individual career growth and team success.

  • Technical Leadership: Manage commercialization of new products and post-launch monitoring of on-market products, risk evaluation of the on market portfolio, designing fit for purpose testing to assess product risks, and drive failure investigations.

  • Program Management: Ensure milestones, timelines, and deliverables are met for development and on-market support projects.

  • SAFe Agile Execution: Serve as a Product Owner in a SAFe Agile environment, driving team execution and priorities.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner cross-functionally to ensure alignment with company objectives and project commitments. You are highly effective at translating complex technical data into actionable insights for stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Collaborative Focus: Foster an open, innovative, and collaborative environment during process and assay development efforts.

  • Operational Excellence: Refine team procedures, maintain key laboratories and equipment, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and Roche standards.

  • Strategic Oversight: Actively explores new methodologies, processes, and new ways of working to improve reagent quality and overall efficiencies.

  • Leadership Participation: Actively contribute to the ACT and OAD Leadership Team and other strategic initiatives.

Who you are:

  • You have a BS (with 8+ yrs), or a MS (with 6+ yrs), or PhD (with 4+ yrs) in relevant scientific disciplines (e.g. Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology).

  • You have 3 years of hands-on experience in scientific research and product development

  • You have 1+ years of direct management and/or project management experience

  • You maintain a deep understanding of principles in chemistry, biochemistry, and molecular biology, while exhibiting exceptional verbal and written communication skills to present complex information clearly.

  • You showcase comprehensive knowledge in developing, implementing, and supporting reagent-based products in FDA/IVDR regulated environments.

  • You demonstrate strong leadership capabilities to effectively motivate, guide, and manage within both matrixed and direct-line environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • You have experience with SAFe Agile methodologies is highly valued.

The expected salary range for this position is 116,500-216,300 based on the primary location of Tucson, AZ. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
