The Role:

The CNC Machinist Programmer is responsible for creating, coordinating, and optimizing CNC machining programs and processes with a strong emphasis on new product introduction, setup efficiency, fixturing, tooling strategy, and continuous improvement. This role works closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality to ensure efficient, repeatable, and cost-effective manufacturing operations.

  • What You'll Do:
  • Develop, coordinate, and optimize CNC programs and machining processes to improve cycle times, repeatability, and overall manufacturing efficiency.
  • Partner with Engineering to prototype new products and transition them into stable, productionready processes.
  • Perform handson CNC machining operations as needed, including machine setup, proving out programs, running first articles, and supporting production to ensure quality and throughput.
  • Select and implement appropriate tooling, fixturing, and work holding strategies; adjust machine parameters and validate processes through test cuts and process verification.
  • Create and maintain standardized documentation (setup sheets, work instructions, job boxes) and collaborate with Quality to establish inspection methods and resolve quality issues.
  • Train and mentor operators, and junior programmers while managing tooling systems, preventative maintenance, and equipment reliability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including waste reduction, bottleneck elimination, cost analysis support, and technology evaluation; maintain a clean and organized production environment, always represent the company in a professional manner

  • What You'll Need:
  • Associate degree (2year) in CNC Programming or equivalent experience required.
  • Proficient in CAD/CAM software, preferably Autodesk Inventor, Inventor CAM, and ESPRIT.
  • Expert in CNC programming languages (Gcode, Mcode).
  • Strong knowledge of machine setup, fixturing, and work holding strategies.
  • Experience with automated manufacturing systems is a plus.
  • Experience with MAZATROL programming is a plus.
  • Strong blueprint reading and GD and T knowledge preferred.
