Work Schedule: 

Shifts scheduled Monday through Friday 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM. Exact schedule may be modified based on school calendar and programming needs. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department

We are seeking an Exercise Specialist - Sports Performance to:

  • Design developmentally appropriate training programs and modify programs to fit the needs of the athlete.
  • Implement a long-term athlete development plan using a sound youth athlete development philosophy.
  • Effectively communicate with athletes, parents, coaches, and administrators.
  • Assess athlete function related to movement skills, developmental and performance measures. 
  • Assist with development, marketing, and promotion of sports performance programs.
  • Actively participate in staff education sessions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or related field Required
  • Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics, Strength and Conditioning or related field Preferred

Work Experience

  • 1 year experience in sports performance training Required
  • 3 years experience working with athletes from a variety of backgrounds in training and conditioning Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

  • Obtain a national certification by at least one of the following organizations 
    CSCS - National Strength and Conditioning Association
    Sports Performance Coach - USA Weightlifting
    Club Coach - USA Weightlifting
    PES - National Academy of Sports Medicine
    CSCC - National Strength and Conditioning Association
    within 180 Days Required
  • BLS Certification Required
  • Certification by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification Preferred
  • Movement-based assessment and evaluation certification Preferred
  • Valid driver's license for use in Wisconsin and current auto insurance. Required
