Job description

Job Title: Parts Manager
Location: NJ several locations and brands within Performance Auto Group
Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Summary
The Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Parts Department to ensure efficient inventory management, excellent customer service, and strong profitability. This role requires leadership, organizational skills, and in-depth knowledge of Ford parts, systems, and dealership operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of the Parts Department, including inventory control, purchasing, pricing, and merchandising
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to support service, body shop, and retail operations while minimizing obsolescence
  • Ensure compliance with Ford Motor Company policies, procedures, and warranty requirements
  • Lead, train, and motivate parts department staff to achieve performance and customer satisfaction goals
  • Oversee wholesale and retail parts sales, including maintaining strong relationships with vendors and local accounts
  • Monitor department financial performance, including gross profit, expenses, and key performance indicators
  • Utilize dealership management systems (DMS) to track inventory, sales, and reporting
  • Handle customer concerns and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe parts department
  • Collaborate with Service, Sales, and Body Shop departments to maximize operational efficiency
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Parts Manager or Assistant Parts Manager (Ford experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of Ford parts, catalog systems, and dealership operations
  • Experience with DMS systems (, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar)
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
