The Sales Manager facilitates the dealershipโ€™s vehicle sales operations by leading the sales team, setting and achieving sales goals, structuring and approving deals, and ensuring strong customer satisfaction. They are responsible for sales performance, profitability, inventory management, and coaching staff to deliver a high-quality buying experience.

Requirements:

Job Responsibilities and Qualifications:

  • Believes in, adheres to, and upholds Capitol Auto Groupโ€™s Vision, Values, and Operating Standards.
  • 5 years sales management experience (preferably with General Motors)
  • Proven background in dealership variable operations
  • Hires, trains, supervises, and monitors the performance of the new- and used-vehicle salespeople.
  • Addresses customer complaints to ensure high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Creates systems that ensure ongoing sales training, including weekly sales meetings.
  • Follow the guidelines for providing a customer driven, sales experience start to finish including finance and delivery.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels and mix to reflect current market conditions.
  • Execute the General Sales Managerโ€™s plan for lot appearance and organization.
  • Responsible for monitoring sales associate customer communications through CRM, BDC, floor traffic to maximize our sales opportunities and closing ratio.
  • Schedule all sales staff to provide coverage supportive of customer traffic.
  • Knowledge of all Manufacturer marketing campaigns.
  • Work with BDC to engage our customers and provide a remarkable customer experience.
  • Complete ongoing certification and personal improvement in alignment with Capitol Standards.
  • Follow Capitol standards of lateral support by providing assistance and communication with all departments.
