Detailed Job Description:
PeopleSoft FSCM Techno-Functional Consultant with strong knowledge and experience in PeopleSoft Financials business processes, application support, enhancements, integrations, development, testing, and upgrade activities.
The selected candidate should be able to address user issues, resolve technical and functional problems, manage incidents, service requests, enhancement tickets, perform configuration updates, analyze customizations, and support critical business operations. The consultant will work closely with business users, SMEs, technical teams, and vendors to perform root cause analysis, recommend process improvements, and deliver effective solutions.
The consultant should possess a balanced combination of functional business process knowledge and technical PeopleSoft expertise, including business process understanding, system configuration, customization analysis, application development support, integrations, reporting, troubleshooting, testing, production support, and upgrade activities.
The ideal candidate should be capable of translating business requirements into functional specifications, technical designs, testing scenarios, and implementation solutions while supporting ongoing system maintenance and optimization.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Good understanding of software engineering practices, SDLC, and application support processes.
2. Strong understanding of Finance and Supply Chain business processes.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. Experience and desire to work closely with customers and business stakeholders.
5. Experience working in onsite-offshore support, enhancement, and project delivery models.
6. Knowledge of ERP support methodologies, ITIL processes, and ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools.
7. Experience supporting PeopleSoft Finance business processes including Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), Asset Management, Treasury, and Record-to-Report (R2R).
8. Experience participating in business requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design discussions, and user acceptance testing.
9. Experience supporting Agile project delivery methodologies and sprint-based development activities.
Required Qualifications:
1. Candidate must be located within Atlanta, USA, or be willing to relocate if selected.
2. Minimum 8 years of hands-on PeopleSoft FSCM techno-functional experience.
3. Strong expertise in at least four of the following PeopleSoft FSCM modules:
o Accounts Payable (AP)
o Accounts Receivable (AR)
o Billing (BI)
o General Ledger (GL)
o Purchasing (PO)
o eProcurement (ePro)
o Asset Management (AM)
o Project Costing (PC)
o Cash Management (CM)
4. Skilled in issue resolution, root cause analysis, and recommending effective solutions for complex technical and functional issues.
5. Experience preparing Functional Design Documents (FDDs), Technical Design Documents (TDDs), business requirements, solution documents, and test scenarios.
6. Expertise in PeopleTools including Application Designer, Process Scheduler, Application Engine, SQR, Component Interface, Query Manager, Integration Broker, Data Migration Tools, and SQL.
7. Strong understanding of PeopleSoft architecture, security framework, workflow, Approval Framework (AWE), Process Scheduler, and batch processing.
8. Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications, technical designs, testing scenarios, and implementation plans.
9. Experience supporting integrations between PeopleSoft and third-party applications using Integration Broker, REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, XML, JSON, and file-based interfaces.
10. Experience in troubleshooting production issues related to applications, integrations, reports, batch jobs, month-end financial close processes, and performance-related issues.
11. Experience reviewing customizations and recommending delivered functionality where appropriate.
12. Experience supporting PeopleTools upgrades, FSCM Image upgrades, retrofit analysis, testing coordination, and post-upgrade validation activities.
13. Ability to coordinate with business stakeholders, developers, infrastructure teams, DBAs, and vendors to deliver support, enhancements, upgrades, and integration projects.
14. Experience supporting SIT, UAT, regression testing, defect management, deployment planning, and production migrations.
Responsibilities:
• Provide functional and technical support for PeopleSoft FSCM applications.
• Analyze business requirements and recommend scalable PeopleSoft solutions.
• Design, document, and support system enhancements and customizations.
• Support incident management, problem management, and service requests.
• Perform configuration updates and validate business process changes.
• Support inbound and outbound integrations using PeopleSoft Integration Broker and related technologies.
• Troubleshoot Application Engine, SQR, Interfaces, Workflow, Process Scheduler, Reports, Queries, and Batch Processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in PeopleTools and FSCM Image upgrade projects including retrofit analysis and testing activities.
• Support deployment planning, migration activities, and post-production validation.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical teams and vendors to ensure upgrades, enhancements, and support activities are completed on schedule and within budget.
Desired Skills (Preferred / Plus Skills):
• Develop and maintain detailed technical and functional documentation including FDDs, TDDs, configuration documents, upgrade plans, testing strategies, deployment plans, release notes, and user guides.
• Experience in production support including monitoring and troubleshooting batch processes, managing job schedules, and ensuring timely resolution of production incidents.
• Experience in financial period-end close support, reconciliation processes, audit support, SOX compliance requirements, and regulatory reporting.
• Experience with PeopleSoft reporting tools such as PS Query, BI Publisher, nVision, SQR, and Crystal Reports.
• Experience with PeopleSoft Test Framework (PTF) and automated regression testing.
• Exposure to cloud migration initiatives, PeopleSoft Cloud Manager, OCI-hosted PeopleSoft environments, and hybrid integration architectures.
• Experience with DevOps concepts, migration automation, and release management processes.
• Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies and participation in SIT, UAT, regression testing, and deployment activities.
• Exposure to Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and enterprise integration solutions is an added advantage.
Additional Information:
The job may also entail sitting and working at a computer for extended periods. Candidates should be able to effectively communicate through telephone, email, virtual collaboration tools, and face-to-face interactions.
Ability to participate in on-call support rotations, critical incident management, and occasional after-hours support during upgrades, patch deployments, month-end financial close cycles, and critical business events is preferred.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of PeopleSoft Finance experience.
