What you'll be doing...

The Assistant Manager, Pension Accounting & Contract Review supports the leadership and operations of our Pension Accounting/Contract department. You'll oversee daily departmental functions, lead and develop staff, and ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in accounting processes and contract review activities. This position plays a key leadership role in driving operational excellence, supporting strategic initiatives, and serving as a liaison with internal teams, employers, and union representatives.

  • Supervise departmental operations, including oversight of Supervisors and Staff Assistants.
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in accounting functions and contract review processes.
  • Review and approve labor agreements, extension agreements, and addendums for compliance.
  • Communicate with Local Unions and Employers to resolve contract and accounting issues.
  • Analyze data and prepare reports to support performance tracking and decision-making.
  • Support the development and implementation of departmental policies, procedures, and system enhancements.
  • Coordinate system updates, releases, and procedural documentation.
  • Assist senior leadership with special projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Perform departmental payroll and other related administrative duties.
