The Berkley imprint at Penguin Random House is seeking an Associate Manager, Digital Marketing to lead digital marketing campaigns across a portfolio of commercial fiction. Reporting to the Associate Director, Digital Marketing, this role will develop and execute integrated digital strategies, manage key consumer-facing channels and communities, analyze campaign performance, and identify innovative opportunities to grow readership and engagement. The ideal candidate combines creativity with strong analytical thinking and is excited to shape the digital presence of one of publishing's leading commercial fiction imprints.
Berkley is an industry leader in publishing commercial and genre fiction. Our authors include Emily Henry, Grady Hendrix, Jasmine Guillory, Jesse Q. Sutanto, Chanel Cleeton, Isabel Cañas, William Gibson, Genevieve Gornichec, Sangu Mandanna, Kelly Yang, and Ashley Herring Blake.
The Associate Manager, Digital Marketing should be highly motivated, enthusiastic about publishing, and enjoy reading broadly and often across commercial fiction. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about connecting readers with books through innovative digital marketing and who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented self-starter, an exceptional written and verbal communicator, and an organized project manager who can balance multiple priorities while driving campaigns forward. They are proactive, creative, and data-informed, bringing fresh ideas, strong follow-through, and a collaborative mindset to every project.
Specific responsibilities include:
  • Develop and execute integrated digital marketing campaigns from announcement through a book's publication and beyond.
  • Own day-to-day management of Berkley Pub and Ace Books social media channels, including Instagram, TikTok, Threads, and emerging platforms.
  • Lead content planning, creation, copywriting, and publishing across assigned social channels while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
  • Partner with the Berkley Romance social media content creator to develop engaging, platform-first content that amplifies key campaigns and connects with readers.
  • Manage and grow online reader communities and influencer programs, identifying opportunities to deepen engagement and maximize reach.
  • Analyze campaign performance using platform analytics and provide recommendations based on audience insights and trends.
  • Coordinate multiple marketing campaigns simultaneously with publicity, editorial, design, and external partners.
  • Identify emerging social media trends and recommend innovative marketing opportunities for Berkley and Ace titles.
  • Assist in planning and executing virtual and in-person events that build reader communities, generate excitement for Berkley titles, and strengthen relationships with authors, influencers, and fans.

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing, social media marketing, publishing, entertainment, or a related consumer brand.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing multi-channel digital marketing campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of audience development, community management, and platform best practices across TikTok, Instagram, Threads, Facebook, and emerging channels.
  • Experience using analytics to measure campaign performance and optimize future marketing efforts.
  • Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills across social, email, and web.
  • Experience managing multiple campaigns with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong project management skills with exceptional organizational abilities.
